Here's what I've created for you...

I am so happy that I am guest designing for Crafting Desert Divas. I had so much fun creating this card using the new stamp set "Botanical Layers"!

really wanted to create an ink lifting technique with these amazing flower stamps. So I went ahead and created my background first. After it was dry I stamped the outline images of the flowers with VersaMark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. By spraying the panel with water and dabbing off the water, ink will automatically be lifted from it. However, you will still see the real colors below the embossed images.

I only wanted to use a strip of the floral panel, so I also used a piece of black card stock to create some contrast. I used an SVG file to cut the sentiment from gold card stock and adhered it to the black panel.

  7. Love your watercoloring technique...I'll have to try that. I'm usually hesitant about watercoloring, but I like how the ink spread smoothly. Beautiful card, and great color combination.
