I wanted to make a couple of cards to give as presents to a good friend of mine and my mom so they can share some handmade kindness as well. Because I don't own a Misti, I used my WRMK letterpress and I have to say it works just fine! I used some of the foam pads that are included in the kit to work as margins so each card will have the same position every time.
I started of stamping the snowglobe with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a white card base. I didn't keep in mind that I wanted to color the image later on. That's why the markers are shining through on the other site but I just went ahead and adhered patterned paper on the inside of the card, so nobody will ever know.
Then, I stamped the snowy hill, the snowman, little santa and his reindeers and some snow. I colored the base of the snowglobe (TN7, TN8, EB5) and the snowman (IG1, IG2; OR1, OR3; GT2, GT3) itself with Spectrum Noir markers.
You can't really see it in the pictures but I also embossed the snowy hill. I used my embossing pen to apply some sticky ink and embossed it with sparkling snow embossing powder from WOW.
Below the snowglobe, I stamped the sentiment "Frohe Weihnachten" (Merry Christmas) with Memento Lady Bug and applied a bit of glossy accents on the "snow circles".
Because I wanted to give them as a gift, I went ahead and cut out a little box in the right size. I found a website online that gives you the possibility to create different kind of boxes in the sizes you need. Click here to get forwarded to the website.
The box didn't have a window in it so I included an additional rectangle to be cut from the box, adhered some acetate behind it and put the cards and envelopes in the box.
These are so cute! Perfect for mass production. I adore the little box you framed them with. xx
