Hello, today I am showing you another set of Christmas cards that I made using one of the newer Mama Elephant stamp sets! Aren't the images just adorable?
First of all I stamped the little elves and pinguins on Neenah white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
I wanted to keep the background rather simple. For that reason I used
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and applied it with a blending tool in swirly
motions on some mixed media paper by Canson. I tried to fad it out as
best as I could
Below the
distressed area, I stamped the sentiment that is included in the set
with VersaMark ink and embossed it with silver embossing powder by wow.
The,
I adhered the distressed panel on a kraft card base (I just love
kraft!) and also adhered the elves and pinguins in the center of the
panel using 3D foam squares.
That's when I thought that something was missing. The top of the card had to much white space and I didn't really like it. And then I remembered the Baker's Twine that I recently ordered and included some white and green twine.
I poked a whole through the fold of the cardbase and wrapped the twine around, tying a little bow on the right side. I adhered the bow into place with a glue dot because it didn't want to stay where and how I wanted it.
Oh these are so cute! Love it on the Kraft card and the little bit of distress background just adds some dimension. They are brilliant. Xx
