Hello crafy friends, today I wanted to show you another interactive Christmas card. I used images from My Favorite Things, stamped them on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers.
For my background I used Gansai Tambi watercolors which give a really bright look. Unfortunately, I currently forgot which colors I used but I will add the information later. I put some color down onto a slick surface, sprayed it with water, and pressed my mixed media paper into the color to create this spotty look. After it dried completely, I adhered it to a slightly larger dark green panel.
I adhered down the tree and the little girl but for the santa I wanted somthing more fun. I have seen some cards using wobble springs. I didn't have any but found
this YouTube video showing how you can make your own using thin thin wire. Fortunately, my local drug store had thin wire in stock. I also tried it with smaller images but because the spring itself has to be smaller, it didn't work as well as with this larger image.
I also wanted to include a sentiment I used a German one from Create A Smile, stamped it on black cardstock with VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
This card participates in the following Challenges
