Tags for Edible Christmas Gifts
Hi everyone, today I have an easy and fun project for you. I made a cookie mix and a mulled wine mix for two friends of mine for Christmas. I used two glass jars for my ingredients so the recipients can immediately see them.
I wanted to include the ingredients and instructions on tags so I went ahead and die cut a tag from white and red card stock using the "Shake It Up" die set as well as the "Stitched In Circles" die set. I also used the add ons for the tag from the first set to create some stitching.
On the red tag I wrote the name of the mix and also the ingredients included in the mix. On the second, white tag I wrote the instructions so the recipient will know how to proceed. For the cookie mix I also included the little cookie from the "Kitchen Cuties" stamp set because it was just perfect for it.
I really love giving self-made gifts and I think my friends will like them. And in addition they will also have a nice jar for storage. I hope I could inspire you to give your own mixes to friends and family and decorate them with goodies from Craftin Desert Divas.

Happy Insta Girls Christmas Hop 2016
Hi everyone and welcome back to another Happy Insta Girls Blog Hop! This group was initiated by the lovely Birka and I am happy that she asked me to join this group over a year ago with so many amazing and talented girls!
I am so excited to show you the card that I got from Maike! But she did not only send me a card but also included an advent calendar and a little gift that I want to show you before.
Aren't these gift super sweet? Thank you so so much, Maike! But now I want to show you the wonderful card that I got from her! As you might know I love interactive card. That's why I was so happy that I got one from Maike: a twist and pop card! But take a look for yourself!
Isn't this wonderful? The inside scene is so beautifully done! I can't stop looking at it with all the little details! Thank you so much!
But now I want to show you the card that I made for Biggi. And you might have guessed already in which direction I was going. Yes... I made an interactive card ;) This time I made a pull card which I had never done before but I like how it turned out.
I used the cute Yeti stamps from My Favorite Things which reveal a German sentiment when you pull on the flaps of the card. Here is a video so you can see the card in action.
I really hope you enjoyed the card that I made. Now hop on to see what Biggi created!

Dragon LED Candle Lantern
Hi everyone, I am back with another fun project. I thought the dragons from the new "Dragon Festival" stamp set would be perfect to decorate a lantern. So I created a simple lantern cutting file and cut it from dark red card stock.
You can download the cutting file here: DOWNLOAD (.fcm, .svg, .pdf)
You can download the cutting file here: DOWNLOAD (.fcm, .svg, .pdf)
Then, I cut four pieces of vellum which were a bit larger than each window of the lantern to be able to glue to the inside. Before assembling, I decorated each window and stamped the cute dragons, lanterns, and Chinese symbols on the vellum with VersaMark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.
I also did some basic Copic coloring with red and yellow markers. Tip: To avoid coloring the white embossing powder color the images from the back side.
Then I adhered each vellum piece to the frames and assembled the lantern.
Please only use these lanterns with LED candles and NO real candles due to fire hazards.

Dragon Festival - easy CAS card
Hi everyone! Today start the sneak peeks for the new release by Craftin Desert Divas. And let me tell you - it's simply amazing! There are so many super fun products coming! For day 1 I created this clean and simple card using stamps from the new "Dragon Festival" stamp set.

DIY Christmas Ornaments
Hi everyone, I am back with another fun project. I was at a craft fair a couple of weeks ago and found these clear acrylic Christmas ornaments and thought that it would be a fun crafty project to decorate them with moss and stamped images. So I went outside to get some moss and dried it for a couple of days. I chose the adorable Waddle and Jingle digi stamps by Craftin Desert Divas to include in the ornaments.
So I downsized the images so they would easily fit in the ornaments and because I wanted the images to be on both sides, I mirrored them and printed two versions for each ornament. Then I colored them with alcohol markers. Since the images were really small I only did some basic coloring without much shading (apart from the penguin's hat). After fuzzy cutting the images (or rather let them be fuzzy cut by my cutting machine) I adhered the original and mirrored images together.
I cut the moss in place and glued each image on top using a hot glue gun. Then I cut easily place the moss and the image in my Christmas ornament.
I really hope you like this idea and give it a try. These would also make perfect Christmas gifts. See you soon!

Twist and Pop Christmas Card
Hi everyone, I am back with a fun interactive Christmas card. I made this card with the help of this video tutorial showing how to create a twist and pop card. I love how this card turned out but let me tell you it's pretty hard to get a decent picture of it. Keep in mind that this card is quite bulky if you'd like to make a twist and pop card. You can find a video of how the card opens and closes at the end of the blog post.
After creating the basic cutting and scoring of the pieces I needed for this card (check out the video tutorial linked above), I started to decorate the inside piece. Using the Outdoor Landscape Die, I die cut a snowy hill that was large enough to cover the complete inside piece. Using blue ink and a brush, I created a light sky background. Then, I stamped the adorable images of the Santa's Helpers stamp set with a water-resistant ink, colored them in with Zig markers, and adhered them to the inside piece. I'd recommend not to use any foam adhesive as the card is already quite bulky. Keep it as flat as possible on the inside. To finish the inside piece, I stamped the sentiment "Merry Christmas" with red ink in the top center of the panel.
I wanted to leave the outside of the card to be very simply. First, I die cut a scalloped panel from white card stock using the largest of the Fancy Frame Dies. I used a polka-dot embossing folder on the white panel because I thought it would look like snow. To create some contrast, I embossed the sentiment "Let it snow" from the Santa's Helpers set on black card stock, die cut a flag banner using the Flag Banner Die set and adhered it to the background panel with a bit of foam tape.
I really hope you enjoyed this card. Have a great day and see you soon!

New Digi Stamps - Flamenco Mice
Hi everyone and welcome back to our blog hop introducing the new digi stamps "Flamenco Mice". You can download the digi stamps on the Digi Stamps download page. It includes a female mouse with and without the flower, and a male mouse with and without the rose as well as some accessories (a handfan, maracas, and a rose). There are also some sentiments in different fonts so you can choose whatever you prefer for your projects.
For the second card I used the boy mouse and also colored him and the extra rose with Spectrum Noir markers. I love how you can group both images together but how you can also used them separately. I especially like the "Hola chica" sentiment to go with the boy mouse.
And I asked some amazing crafty friends to create some projects to showcase the new digis. Please hop along and leave them some kind words :)
Please note: If you create any projects with these digi stamps and post them on your blog, please link back to my blog.
