Distress Resist with DeNami Design and Farewell

Hello crafty friends, I am back with my last card as a Design Team member. I had such a great time the last couple of months! Nami is so sweet and always helpful in answering the million questions I had :) 

Today I, again, used the three filigree stamps from the last release (because I just love them!). This time I wanted to create a card using the ink resist technique. For that, I stamped the floral images on watercolor cardstock. But instead of covering the whole panel, I only placed them in the bottom right corner, stretching a little bit to the lower left side and the right center. I stamped them with VersaMark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.



I then applied a layer of water on the panel as well as green, turquoise, and yellow watercolor, trying to let them blend together and fade out where no images were stamped. I also dabbed the color away now and then to receive a lighter look. I wanted to include a bold sentiment. So I went with black cardstock and a huge sentiment that says "Liebe Grüsse" (English: best wishes/lots of love).



I also stamped the sentiment with VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder on the black cardstock. After I trimmed in in place, I adhered it with foam tape to the upper left corner.  To finish off my card I adhered the watercolor panel to a Kraft card base. I thought the color of the Kraft paper was a nice contrast (but not too bold) to the soft watercolor.
