Sneak Peek 03 Fancy Florals (Denami Design)
Dear
crafty friends, it's the third day of the sneak peek week for Denami Designs! To
see the cards that the rest of the design team made, go check out the DeNami Design blog post.
There will also be a givaway each day on Facebook. Just click on the picture below to get directed to the giveaway and get more information.
And here is the card for the third day of sneak peek week. I used the following products:
NEW CL-E204 Flower Filigree
NEW CL-C123 Little Leaf Filigree
NEW CL-J157 Flower Filigree Trio
NEW CL-C123 Little Leaf Filigree
NEW CL-J157 Flower Filigree Trio
NEW CD-D189 One of a Kind
I have the feeling this is one of my favorite cards that I created with the new release. I used kraft cardstock (which I LOVE) and used all three floral stamps and stamped them randomely with VersaMark ink. After I embossed them with white embossing powder I went ahead and colored them in with Faber Castell watercolor pencils.
After I colored in all flowers, I cut the kraft piece a bit smaller so I
could use a contrasting dark gray card stock as a background panel. I
adhered the background panel to a card base and adhered the floral panel
on top of it. To include a sentiment I used the One of a Kind stamp,
stamped it with VersaMark ink on the same gray cardstock and embossed it
with white embossing powder. To finish off the card I adhered it with
foam tape in the bottom right corner.

Christmas Gift Tags
Welcome back! Today I want to show you some Christmas gift tags that I made recently. A couple of weeks ago I came across a Spanish stamp company on Instagram. I immediately had to check them out and their stamps are so adorable. The company is called lavidaenSCRAP and has an Etsy Shop. Go check them out!

I ordered three stamp sets from lavidaenSCRAP and used two to make two different Christmas gift tag variants. For the first variant I used the adorable penguin from "frío de bufanda" and for the second one the reindeer from the set "noe kissitos". I stamped them on white tags that I cut out with my Scan'N'Cut previously. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento cottage ivy and lady bug to stamp the sentiments. The sentiments are from a German sentiment set from Dani Peuss.
After I've done all the stamping I went ahead and did some basic coloring on the images. Nothing fancy. I used watercolor pencil from Faber Castell and a waterbrush to blend the pigments together. They are so creamy and blending is so easy with these pencils.
On the back of the tags I stamped the words "to" and "from" so I can write down the name of the person for which the gift is for.

Reindeer Tower
Hello, today I wanted to show you this card. I did a sneak peak on Instagram a couple of weeks ago and I finally found the time to post it now.
Currently, I reaaally love kraft cardstock. That's why I wanted to do some fun coloring directly on kraft. I used the reindeers from Mama Elephant and the little santa from Create A Smile and stamped a reindeer tower. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used masks to stamp the reindeers and santa.
Because I don't own any color pencil currently, I used the watercolor pencils from Faber Castell which worked also really well. I also used some Glossy Accents on top of the reindeers' noses and a gold gel pen on the reindeers' collars.

I didn't want to include a sentiment on this one because I found it speaks for itself. It was kind of hard to take a picture of it in my photo box because the white always reflected on the kraft cardstock. That's why the card seems to "glow"...

Christmas garland (Create A Smile)
Well, I am a bit slow in the last time with posting cards but I am also slow in making them. I guess sometimes there just are those days where you run out of crafty juice. But yesterday the Snow Dance Kit and a cute German sentiment set by Create A Smile arrived and I made this card below.

It's also the first card I made with kraft cardstock and I really like the look of it! First, I stamped the little meerkats from the Friends and Couples stamp set also by Create A Smile on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also used the little Santa hat from the Holiday Party Animal set by Lawn Fawn which is the perfect size for the meerkats. I colored the images with Spectrum Noir markers (hat: CR 10, DR2 + Liquid Appliqué, meerkat: EB2, GB8, GB10). I popped up the Liquid Applique which is always fun to watch! Really love it!
Then I took the large sentiment which says "Weihnachten" (Christmas) and mounted it on my acrylic block a bit curved so it looks like a garland (which is what the meerkats are intended to hold in the set they are from) and stamped it with Yeti pigment ink on a kraft card base. I also stamped the word "frohe" (here: merry) above the large sentiment and adhered the meerkats on each side.
And I didn't really like how it looked. I wanted to include some more fun Christmas accessoires and found them in the Reindeer Games set by Mama Elephant. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly on the kraft cardstock so they look as if they would hang from the Christmas garland. I then colored them with Faber Castell watercolor pencils which created a really nice effect.
