Zunächst habe ich den Fuchs aus dem Set "Three Amigos" von Mama Elephant auf Aquarellpapier mit Archival Jet Black Ink gestempelt und aus Post-it Tape eine Maske erstellt, damit ich den Papierhaufen dahinter stempeln kann. Ich habe auch einige Masken für die einzelnen Papierkügelchen erstellt, um einen dichten Haufen zu bekommen. Anschließend habe ich ein neues Abdeckmedium ausprobiert: Pebeo Drawing Gum. Bisher habe ich FixoGum verwendet, der mir aber viel zu zählflüssig war. Das Drawing Gum funktioniert jedoch sehr gut und trocknet auch sehr schnell.
Anschließend habe ich mit Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Mowed Lawn und Pine Needles) einen Aquarellhintergrund erzeugt und mit Pine Needles Ink und Wasser bespritzt. Nachdem die Farben trocken waren, konnte das Drawing Gum mit einem Kleberentferner leicht entfernt werden. Dann habe ich das Sentiment "You're awesome" in das Blatt gestempelt, das vom Fuchs gehalten wird und das ganze Motiv mit Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens koloriert (Fuchs: 20, 52, 91, Papier: 95).
Das Frontpanel wurde auf die Größe 10,5 x 10,5 zugeschnitten ebenso wie zusätzlich gleichgroße Quadrate aus hell- und dunkelgrünem Karton und habe sie etwas versetzt zusammengeklebt. Um das Orange des Fuchses noch einmal aufzugreifen, habe ich ein orangenes dünnes Band verwendet, um die Kartenfront gewickelt und eine Schleife gebunden.
 
Today I was inspired by a card by Rosali. I really enjoyed the idea with the pile of paper and really wanted to recreate it.
I stamped the fox from the stamp set "Three Amigos" by Mama Elephant on watercolor cardstock with Archival Jet Black and created a mask to protect it from the balls of paper. I also created some masks for the balls of paper to create a more dense pile.
Then, I tried a new masking medium: Pebeo Drawing Gum. Up until now, I used FixoGum which I found to be too viscous. But the Drawing Gum works great and also dries quickly.
Using Distress Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles) I created a watercolor background and also sprinkled it with Pine Needle Ink and water. Then, I removed the dry Drawing Gum with an adhesive remover, stamped the sentiment "You're awesome" in the middle of the sheet the fox is holding, and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens (fox: 20, 52, 91, pape: 95).
I cut the front panel to roughly 4" x 4" and cut two squares in the same size out of light and dark green cardstock and adhered them together a bit offset. To continue the orange color from the fox, I used orange ribbon, wrapped it around the card base and made a little bow.
