Hi everyone, I am back with another fun card. I absolutely love the Stormy Weather stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas that was released not so long ago. The images are so adorable and I like the sentiments that come with it.

First, I stamped the little fox by Mama Elephant on mix media paper with Archival Jet Black ink from Ranger and colored him in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. The sentiment is from My Favorite things, I applied Distress Ink on the stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped it onto white paper to create this nice watercolory look.


I really wanted to create a shaker card (because I am obsessed with shaker cards :D) but this time I wanted to make a see-through shaker. For that reason I first created a frame using two rectangle dies from Avery Elle and also die cut the smaller piece from the card base I was using.
Using the Fuse tool, I created a shaker pocket out of a really sturdy zip-lock bag and filled it up with sequins from Pretty Pink Posh as well as the little fox. Using strong glue, I adhered the shaker pocket in between the white frame and the card base. To finish off the card, I adhered the sentiment to the top and bottom of my card.

For the background I wanted to create something bold. Therefore I used Aged Mahogany, Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick and Abandoned Coral Distress ink, pressed them on a slick surface and spritzed them with a combination of water and perfect pearls "Pearl". Then, I used Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and pressed it in to the ink a couple of times, letting the colors drying in between.


To assemble my card I adhered the watercolor background to a card base and used foam squares to adhered the mouse on the left side of the panel. Before adhering the vellum strip I cut out a little flag on one end.

For the background I used Canson mixed media paper. I pressed Cracked Pistachio, Pine Needles, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed Distress inks on a slick surface, spritzed them with water and pressed my paper into the ink a couple of times, drying it in-between. For the splatters of color I used Gansai Tambi watercolor #30. But somehow I wasn't enjoying the background in combination with the monkey. It was far to bright. So I decided to put some vellum over it. I cut a circle from both the background and the vellum and adhered it together.


I didn't have a sentiment to go with the monkey so I just wrote down the phrase "You're loved" in a nice font, switched the color to a dark red and printed it on vellum. And I really love that look!  I cut it into a thin strip and cut out a triangular shape on one side.
To assemble the card I adhered the circle in the center of the card and the sentiment below it on the left side. At first I wanted to place the monkey directly in the center of the circle but it didn't look right for me. When I moved him down a little bit it somehow looked much nicer. For finishing touches I also placed some red enamel stickers on the card.

I stamped the three Amigos from Mama Elephant on Neenah Solar White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers (raccoon: IG1, IG2, IG6, IG8, IG10, fox: Blender, IG1, OR1, OR2, OR3, act: EB1, EB2, GB8, GB10).
For the background I used Canson Mixed Media paper and applied quite some water with a brush. Using my Gansai Tambi watercolors (36, 31, 33, 40) I tried to blend the colors together and dried them with my heat tool. I guess I just used too much of the watercolors. These colors are highly pigmented and for a softer touch you should use more water. 


The sentiment "Happy wedding day" is from Altenew and I really like this big, big happy sentiment. I stamped it with Archival Jet Black ink after the watercolors were dry.
To assemble the card, I adhered a strip of red cardstock on a white cardbase and over it the watercolor panel. Using my Crop-a-dile I rounded the corners of the card using 1/2". To adhere the fox I used 3D foam squares. The other to critters were glued on the card with liquid glue. 

I used a strip of black cardstock to emboss a sentiment from Mama Elephant with white embossing powder and also adhered it above the floral piece. To finish the card, I created my own golden paper using the same gold embossing powder, cut it into a thing strip, and adhere it to the card.
