CDD- One digi stamp of choice
Hi everyone, nice to see you! I am so super happy to joining the Crafting Desert Divas Design Team! I created this shaker card for this Linky Party! I started off creating a frame using the Fancy Frame dies from white cardstock. I adhered some clear foil behind the frame and applied enough foam tape so it gives the sequins I wanted to use enough room to shake.
For the background I used a piece of watercolor cardstock. I cut the
largest scallop frame from the same die set so it would match the frame
perfectly. I applied Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord Distress Ink
with my blending tool, creating an ombré background. After the
background panel was dry, I white embossed the word "celebrate" from the
Say It Big stamp set.
To fill up my card I used the Fairy Dust sequins. I think they are absolutely perfect - they match the white frame and create a nice contrast to the background. Before I closed up the shaker, I used my anti static powder tool along the edges of the foam tape to prevent the sequins from sticking to it.
To finish off my card I die cut the word "Big" from gold mirror card stock with the new Wishful Thought word dies and adhered it to clear foil to create the sentiment "celectrate big".
I really hope you enjoyed my card! I am looking forward to seeing your creations on the blog!

Here's what I've created for you...
I am so happy that I am guest designing for Crafting Desert Divas. I had so much fun creating this card using the new stamp set "Botanical Layers"!
I really wanted to create an ink lifting technique with these amazing flower stamps. So I went ahead and created my background first. After it was dry I stamped the outline images of the flowers with VersaMark ink and embossed them with clear embossing powder. By spraying the panel with water and dabbing off the water, ink will automatically be lifted from it. However, you will still see the real colors below the embossed images.
I only wanted to use a strip of the floral panel, so I also used a piece of black card stock to create some contrast. I used an SVG file to cut the sentiment from gold card stock and adhered it to the black panel.

Welcome Spring! (DeNami Design)
Hello DeNami friends,
today I want to share this unconventional spring card with you. I was not sure if I really wanted to include such a large black area in a spring card but decided that it created a nice contrast to the distressed stencil background and the cute owls.
I started off taping a circle/bubble stencil to my white paper and applied two green inks over it. I then cut the panel into place and die cut a black background panel. I also stamped the Owl Love Birds on white cardstock and colored them with watercolor markers. Instead of fuzzy cutting the owls I decided to cut a white strip.
To assemble the card I adhered everything together and also placed a few mint green sequins on the card.
