Keep Calm and Love on | Cards und More Blog
Hallo, ihr Lieben! Ich bin nach einer umzugsbedingten Pause endlich wieder zurück! Für diese Karte wollte ich unbedingt einen Hintergrundstempel und Distress Resist verwenden.
Ich habe also zunächst den Stempel mit vieeel VersaMark versehen und dann auf eine Kartenbasis gestempelt. Das Embossingpulver von WOW hat einen wunderbaren Glitzer und sieht klasse in Kombination mit kräftigen Farben aus. Daher habe ich mich für den Hintergrund für das knallige Twisted Citron und, zur Mitte hin, für Squeezed Lemonade entschieden. Die Farbe konnte ich einfach über dem embossten Motiv auftragen und es hat die Farbe nicht angenommen. Man hätte natürlich auch erst den Hintergrund einfärben und dann embossen können. Allerdings bin ich zu ungeduldig, um darauf zu warten, dass die Farbe getrocknet ist ;)
Das gestempelte Bärenmotiv habe ich dann mit den Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markern koloriert und mit 3D Klebepads aufgeklebt. Aber es fehlte noch etwas - daher habe ich noch ein Herz gestempelt, koloriert und dem Bären in die Hand gedrückt. Etwas Wink of Stella und Glossy Accents darauf und schon war ich zufrieden.

Smile - It's your birthday! [Cards und More]
Hallo ihr Lieben, ich bin zurück mit einer neuen Karte. Dieses mal gibt es eine neue Geburtstagskarte mit eher unkonventionellen Farben - alles sehr schlicht. Aber es muss ja auch nicht immer ein Farbrausch sein.
Für diese Karte habe ich zunächst ein weißes Panel ausgestanzt, ebenso wie diesen - ich nenne es mal - Fotostreifen aus schwarem Karton. Um das Ganze trotz schlichter Farben etwas aufzuwerten, habe ich dem Fotostreifen mit Wink of Stella etwas Glitter verpasst. In die Innenteile des Streifens habe ich die zwei Kuchenstempel aus einem Lawn Fawn Miniset verwendet und mit Alkoholmarkern koloriert. Für den Zuckerguss habe ich eine Portion Wink of Stella sowie Glossy Accents verwendet. In das mittlere Feld habe ich das Wort "Smile" aus dem gleichen Lawn Fawn Set gestempelt.
Den Fotostreifen habe ich dann etwas schräg auf das weiße Panel geklebt und das Sentiment "it's your birthday" aufgeteilt in zwei der vier Ecken des Panels gestempelt. Für ein wenig weitere Verzierung habe ich noch - zum Kuchen farblich - passende Sequins benutzt und mit Glossy Accents festgeklebt.
Um die Karte fertigzustellen, habe ich anschließend auch das weiße Panel versetzt auf eine dunkelgraue Kartenbasis geklebt.

Happy Halloween (Create A Smile)
Today I made another card for the Create A Smile November Guest Designer Call. And I created my first ever Halloween card which was really fun! And as you can see, Mr. Octopus dressed up as spider for Halloween :)
To start off, I found a free SVG file for the spider web at the new SVG store and cut it out of stencil material to use with my Distress inks. I used Chipped Sapphire, Dusty Concord, and Seedless Preserves as well as my blending tool to create a "spooky" background. I sprayed some water on top of it after the blending was done which created a really nice effect.
For the "spider", I stamped the octopus from the stamp set "Underwater Love" by Create A Smile with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as well as the little pumpkin treat bags and the witch hat from the "Holiday Party Animal" set by Lawn Fawn. I thought it would be funny to give him a ton of treat bags since he as so many arms/legs.
I colored my images with Spectrum Noir markers and colored the octopus with IG6, IG8, and IG10. For the treat bags I use OR1, OR2, OR3, and CR11 on the inside. Because I colored over the little tooth of the pumpkin I used a white gel pen to color it white again. To give them a bit of sparkle I've put some Wink of Stella on top of them. For the witch hat I used IG6 and IG8 as well as BP4 and BP7. To make to octopus more spidery, I used my Memento Dual-Tip marker to draw some fur on his head and arms. Using liquid glue, I adhered the treat bags to all arms/legs of the octopus/spider as well as the little hat.
I used the sentiment "Happy Halloween" from another Lawn Fawn stamp set called "Booyah" and embossed it with white embossing powder by WOW on a piece of black cardstock.
To finish off the card, I adhered the spider web panel to a piece of dark gray cardstock which was a bit bigger than the front panel. I also adhered to sentiment strip along with my ATG gun and adhered everything to a cardbase. Lastly, I used 3D foam squares to attach the octopus/spider on top of the spider web.
