Happy Insta Girls Christmas Hop 2016
Hi everyone and welcome back to another Happy Insta Girls Blog Hop! This group was initiated by the lovely Birka and I am happy that she asked me to join this group over a year ago with so many amazing and talented girls!
I am so excited to show you the card that I got from Maike! But she did not only send me a card but also included an advent calendar and a little gift that I want to show you before.
Aren't these gift super sweet? Thank you so so much, Maike! But now I want to show you the wonderful card that I got from her! As you might know I love interactive card. That's why I was so happy that I got one from Maike: a twist and pop card! But take a look for yourself!
Isn't this wonderful? The inside scene is so beautifully done! I can't stop looking at it with all the little details! Thank you so much!
But now I want to show you the card that I made for Biggi. And you might have guessed already in which direction I was going. Yes... I made an interactive card ;) This time I made a pull card which I had never done before but I like how it turned out.
I used the cute Yeti stamps from My Favorite Things which reveal a German sentiment when you pull on the flaps of the card. Here is a video so you can see the card in action.

Twist and Pop Christmas Card
Hi everyone, I am back with a fun interactive Christmas card. I made this card with the help of this video tutorial showing how to create a twist and pop card. I love how this card turned out but let me tell you it's pretty hard to get a decent picture of it. Keep in mind that this card is quite bulky if you'd like to make a twist and pop card. You can find a video of how the card opens and closes at the end of the blog post.
After creating the basic cutting and scoring of the pieces I needed for this card (check out the video tutorial linked above), I started to decorate the inside piece. Using the Outdoor Landscape Die, I die cut a snowy hill that was large enough to cover the complete inside piece. Using blue ink and a brush, I created a light sky background. Then, I stamped the adorable images of the Santa's Helpers stamp set with a water-resistant ink, colored them in with Zig markers, and adhered them to the inside piece. I'd recommend not to use any foam adhesive as the card is already quite bulky. Keep it as flat as possible on the inside. To finish the inside piece, I stamped the sentiment "Merry Christmas" with red ink in the top center of the panel.
I wanted to leave the outside of the card to be very simply. First, I die cut a scalloped panel from white card stock using the largest of the Fancy Frame Dies. I used a polka-dot embossing folder on the white panel because I thought it would look like snow. To create some contrast, I embossed the sentiment "Let it snow" from the Santa's Helpers set on black card stock, die cut a flag banner using the Flag Banner Die set and adhered it to the background panel with a bit of foam tape.

Be funny/Make a joke (Simply Create Too)
Hello and welcome back to a new Simply Create Too challenge! This time we all created cards to go along the theme "Be funny/Make a joke". And I know it's only March but I thought the image of this cute polar bear dressing as a snowman (or is he eating the snowman???) was just too cute and funny.
I started off stamping the cute polar bear on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him in with Spectrum Noir markers.
Then I created a background with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and die cutting the panel with a pierced rectangle die. To create the snowy hills I also die cut another rectangle from white cardstock and then used the dotted borders by Avery Elle to create two hills. I adhered the larger one directly to the background panel. for the smaller one, the one in the front, I used some fun foam to create a little bit of dimension and adhered it on top of the first snowy hill. I adhedered the polar bear to the hills using 3D foam squares for the top part of him to get the same dimension. I used the German sentiment "Fröhliche Weihnachten" and stamped it with blue ink on the top part of the card.
To finish off the card I cut a piece of dark blue cardstock which matched the color of the sentimnt into place and adhered it to a white notecard. Then I could adhere the rest to the blue panel.

Christmas Bauble Shaker Card (Craftin Desert Divas)
Hello everyone, I will show you another Christmas card for the Craftin Desert Divas Digi Design Team. This time I used this cute bear holding a Christmas bauble and I thought it would be great to create a shaker card in form of another bauble.
So I went ahead and cut out a circle from white card stock and the little silver hanger out of silver card stock. For the background of the ornament, I distressed white cardstock with Mowed Lawn and Pine Needle Distress ink. I tried to blend it to the darker color on the right side to mimick the colored ornament the bear is holding. I also sprayed the distressed area with a mixture of water and perfect pearls.
I printed the bear on Neenah Solar White card stock as well as the sentiment in green. The bear was colored with Spectrum Noir markers (fur: TN7, TN8, EB5; EB2, GB8, GB10; ornament: JG1, JG6 + silver gel pen; hat: CR10, DR2, DR6 + IG1, IG2).
To assemble the shaker card, I adhered a piece of acetate behind the cut out cicle and applied foam tape all around. I filled the shaker with silver and clear sequins.
I placed the bear on the front of the card and cut the sentiment into a banner shape. Behind it, I adhered a slightly larger green banner.

Fröhliche Weihnachten (Lavidaen Scrap)
Just a quick and simple card using these adorable stamps by Lavidaen Scrap. First off, I stamped three circles with different shadow inks on white card stock. On top of the circles I stamped three critters with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Below the circles, I used the sentiment "Fröhliche Weihnachten" (Merry Christmas) from Dani Peuss and stamped it with BlackVersaColor pigment ink. On top of the still wet ink, I sprinkled clear embossing powder and melte it my embossing gun. To finish off the card, I adhered the panel to a card base.

Christmas Pull Out Card (Craftin Desert Divas)
Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for stopping by! It's time for another card with a digi stamp by Craftin Desert Divas! I wanted to try one of these cards where you can pull out a piece of white paper and reveal the colored version under it (I have no idea how these cards are called :) ). So that's what I tried this time.
I used this cute dog digi stamp again and went ahead and printed it onto acetate. I also used the sentiment "Christmas is a time of Joy and Happiness" and printed it directely below the dog after changing its color to red.
I also cut a frame out of red foil card stock and adhered the acetate sheet to it.
On a separate piece of white card stock (which will be the background), I applied some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink with a blending tool and adhered the already colored dog to it. Then, I adhered the frame and the acetate to the background panel making sure to NOT adhere the top part (it actually happend to me and I had to remove the adhesive...). Then I cut another piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than an A2 card so I could slight it in to the card pocket. Make sure to have it a bit larger vertically, so have an area to pull on.
