First, I masked off the image with drawing gum because I wanted to create a light blue background behind the wreath. I used Tumbled Glass distress ink and tried to blend out the ink as best as I could. After the ink was dry, I peeled away the drawing gum which unfortunately wasn't as easy as it teared the paper ever so slightly. But fortunately I was able to hide that with the coloring of the image.
I colored it with Spectrum Noir markers (cat: TN7, TN8, EB5 + FS2, FS3 + IG6, IG8, IG10 + EB2, GB8, GB10; bow: CR10, DR2, DR6; wreath: LG3, LG4, LG5, CG4, DG3 JG1). I wasn't quite sure how to color the wreath and I started out coloring it completely with my lightest green color. But I somehow didn't like it, so I tried a dot technique with the remaining green tones and I thought it turned out quite nicely. I also used a white gel pen to draw some dots on the cat's fur and a hightlight on it's nose and used Wink of Stella on the bow.



Because I printed my images with a laser printer, I wanted to foil my sentiment with red foil. I used ran the paper with some foil through my laminator which came out quite okay. I recently ordered the Mini Minc to see whether this is actually better than my laminator (it seems as if the foil isn't transfered evenly) and I have to say that it really does seem to do a better job.
To finish off my card I trimmed it down on the left and right side. I inked the sides of a piece of white card stock with VersaMark and embossed it with red glitter embossing powder by WOW. I than adhered the embossed piece to a card base and also adhered the front panel on top of it.

I ordered three stamp sets from lavidaenSCRAP and used two to make two different Christmas gift tag variants. For the first variant I used the adorable penguin from "frío de bufanda" and for the second one the reindeer from the set "noe kissitos". I stamped them on white tags that I cut out with my Scan'N'Cut previously. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento cottage ivy and lady bug to stamp the sentiments. The sentiments are from a German sentiment set from Dani Peuss.


After I've done all the stamping I went ahead and did some basic coloring on the images. Nothing fancy. I used watercolor pencil from Faber Castell and a waterbrush to blend the pigments together. They are so creamy and blending is so easy with these pencils. 


On the back of the tags I stamped the words "to" and "from" so I can write down the name of the person for which the gift is for.

The images are from My Favorite Things, Create A Smile, and Mama Elephant. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah solar white cards stock and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I also wanted to include a sentiment in my box and chose the beautiful "Merry Christmas" from Mama Elephant. I stamped it with VersaMark on white cardstock and embossed it with red embossing powder by WOW.

I cut out my images with my Scan'N'Cut and also created the sentiment "Merry Christmas" with the draw function. I used a red pen to drew the sentiment on white cardstock and cut it out in a banner shape. Because I wanted the sentiment to set itself apart from the white background where I applied the images to, I cut a slightly larger banner our of red cardstock.



To get a bit more red color in my card, I cut the white background panel a bit smaller so I could adhere a red and white striped pattern paper at the bottom of the card. To get a bit more dimension, I adhered the white background piece with some fun foam. As a finish touch I applied som clear Wink of Stella to the bow of the dog's antlers.

Hello everybody, today I am sharing with you my first project for the Craftin Desert Divas Digi Design Team (wow, that's a long phrase). For my card I used the Grumpy Christmas digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas. I think the grumpy looking bear is just adorable.
I printed the image on Neenah Solar White card stock and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers (fur: TN7, TN8, EB5; nose: EB2, GB8, GB10; ears: FS2, FS3; boots: JG1, JG2, JG6; belt: IG6, IG8, IG10 + gold gel pen; hat/coat: CR10, DR2, DR6). For the white and fluffy parts of the hat and coat I used white flock (which was actually for nail design but I thought it would be amazing for Christmas images). I just covered the areas with glue, sprinkled the flock on top, and press down so enough flock would stick to the adhesive.


I wanted to create a distress background and used tumbled glass, salty ocean, and chipped saphire. To create a snow drift, I used some scrap paper and adhered it to my mixed media paper with some non-permanent adhesive. Using my ink blending tool I tried to blend the colors from dark to light as best as I could. After the ink was dry, I used my snow stencil (check the download section if you'd like to download it) and placed it over the distress background and applied self-made embossing paste. 


After the embossing paste was dry I cut the panel into place. I cut it a bit smaller than my cardbase on which I adhered another dark blue panel. I used the drawing function of my Scan'N'Cut to write the sentiment "Merry Christmas" in dark blue on white paper. I cut the sentiment strip into place, adhered it to a slightly larger piece of cardstock (the same color as the cardbase panel) and adhered everthing at the top of the card. To finish off my card, I also adhered the grumpy bear in the center of the card using foam squares to give him a bit of dimension.
