Since I used the orange and red patterned paper I wanted to color in the butterflies with similar colors. I used my ZIG markers (52, 23) trying to let the colors fade to the lighter orange, mixing the red and yellow color on an acrylic block before applying it.
I also received these white pearl stickers. Some time ago I watched a YouTube video (unfortunately, I can't remember who did it) showing how to change them to your needs using Sharpies or any other permanent markers. So I went ahead and colored a few of them orange and red to match the colors that I've already used on my card.


To finish off my scrap card I adhered the butterflies with little glue dots only along the body of the butterfly. This way the wings are not attached and you can pop them up a little bit to give them a bit of dimension. I also used glue dots to attached the pearl stickers.

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today I am showing you this fun and interactive Valentines card. I used the sentiment "Will you be my valentine?" that I printed on vellum and wanted the question to be answered right away. Therefore I came up with the idea to include the answer in the card. The recipient of the card is able to pull on the golden flap on the right side of the card and the "lonely" coffee cup will change into the picture of it and a donut. I think the little heart above the two images lets them seem to be in love. I really liked that.

To create this card I used this heart background that I actually found in a magazine. It has foiled hearts in it and I thought it would be just perfect! I cut out a circle from the paper that was big enough for the second image of the coffee cup and the donut.


I stamped the little coffee cup and the cup and donut on white cardstock and spaced them accordingly. I also stamped the a little donut individually because I thought it would be fun to adhere him near the sentiment as if he is asking the question. I colored the images with alcohol markers.


I adhered the patterned paper to a card base making sure not to apply the adhesive where I wanted the flap to be. At first I wanted the word "yes" to appear on the white flap but I didn't like that and covered it with golden washi tape later.

For the background I wanted to create something bold. Therefore I used Aged Mahogany, Picked Raspberry, Fired Brick and Abandoned Coral Distress ink, pressed them on a slick surface and spritzed them with a combination of water and perfect pearls "Pearl". Then, I used Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock and pressed it in to the ink a couple of times, letting the colors drying in between.


To assemble my card I adhered the watercolor background to a card base and used foam squares to adhered the mouse on the left side of the panel. Before adhering the vellum strip I cut out a little flag on one end.

For the background I used Canson mixed media paper. I pressed Cracked Pistachio, Pine Needles, Peacock Feathers and Mustard Seed Distress inks on a slick surface, spritzed them with water and pressed my paper into the ink a couple of times, drying it in-between. For the splatters of color I used Gansai Tambi watercolor #30. But somehow I wasn't enjoying the background in combination with the monkey. It was far to bright. So I decided to put some vellum over it. I cut a circle from both the background and the vellum and adhered it together.


I didn't have a sentiment to go with the monkey so I just wrote down the phrase "You're loved" in a nice font, switched the color to a dark red and printed it on vellum. And I really love that look!  I cut it into a thin strip and cut out a triangular shape on one side.
To assemble the card I adhered the circle in the center of the card and the sentiment below it on the left side. At first I wanted to place the monkey directly in the center of the circle but it didn't look right for me. When I moved him down a little bit it somehow looked much nicer. For finishing touches I also placed some red enamel stickers on the card.

Für diese Karte habe ich eine Schnittdatei von Miss Kate Cuttables zur Hilfe genommen. Aus weißem Karton habe ich dann das Goldfischglas als Fenster ausgeschnitten, ebenso wie die Pflanze aus hell- und dunkelgrünem Karton sowie Kieselsteine aus hell- und dunkelbraunen Karton. Die beiden Fische stammen aus dem Set "Underwaterlove" von Create A Smile und wurden mit Memento Tuxedo Black Ink gestempelt und anschließend mit Spectrum Noir Markern koloriert (OR1, OR2, OR3, CR9, DR5).
Um das Goldfischglas etwas interessanter zu machen, habe ich hinter das weiße Frontpanel ein Stück Vellum geklebt. Für den Hintergrund habe ich ein weiteres Stück Vellum auf weißes Papier geklebt und dieses mit dem Marker IB3 angemalt. Dadurch entstand eine unregelmäßige Struktur, die ich für Wasser im Goldfischglas jedoch sehr nett fand. Darauf habe ich dann sowohl die Pflanze als auch die Fische geklebt. Diese waren dann sozusagen in einem Vellum-Sandwich gefangen.
Auf das weiße Frontpanel habe ich ebenso das Sentiment "I've been on the LOOKOUT for you" mit Blue Ribbon Dye Ink von Ranger stempelt. Der Hintergrund und das Frontpanel wurden anschließend auf etwas größeres dunkelblaues Panel geklebt und dies wiederum auf die Kartenbasis.


This is my 100th blog entry! And I hope it brings me look because this project was again created for the July Guest Design Call by Create A Smile. 

For this card, I used a cutting file by Miss Kate Cuttables. I used the goldfish bowl and cut it out of a white panel and used it as a little window. I also cut out the plant and some pebbles out of light and dark green and brown cardstock. The two fishes are from the stamp set "Underwaterlove" by Create A Smile and were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Spectrum Noir markers (OR1, OR2, OR3, CR9, DR5).
To get the goldfish bowl to look a bit more interesting, I glued some vellum behind the front panel. For the background, I used another bit of vellum glued on to white paper and colored it with IB3. It had a somewhat uneven look to it but it was what I wanted to give the feeling of water in the bowl. I glued the plant and the fishes on top of the background and they where therefore sandwhiched between two vellum pieces. 
On the front panel, I stamped the sentiment "I've been on the LOOKOUT for you" using Blue Ribbon dye ink by Ranger. The background and the front panel were adhered onto a bit larger dark blue card panel and again on the white card base.

Dieses mal habe ich eine florale Karte gemacht und dabei meine neuen Stempel von Tim Holtz und Ranger Dye Ink verwendet. Die einzelnen Materialien sind am Ende des Posts aufgelistet. Zunächst habe ich den Hintergrund mit "Cheese Puff" Ranger Dye Ink auf orangenen Karton gestempelt. Die gleiche Farbe habe ich verwendet, um den Kreis einzufärben, auf dem die Blüte geklebt ist. Diese wurde mit Versamark auf Pergamentpapier gestempelt. Das verwendete Embossingpulver war "Rich Gold" von WOW! Der Kreis wurde mit 3D Klebepads auf den Hintergrund aufgebracht. Um diesen noch etwas hervorzuheben, habe ich einen zweiten Hintergrund erstellt. Ich habe normalen weißen Karton verwendet und das gleiche goldene Embossingpulver verwendet, um einen Rand zu erzeugen.

Today I made a floral card and used some new stamps sets by Tim Holtz as well as my new Ranger Dye Inks. The supplies are listed below. At first I stamped the floral background with "Cheese Puff" Ranger Dye Ink on orange card stock. I used the same ink to color the circle on which the flower was glued. It was stamped with Versamark onto vellum and sprinkled with WOW! embossing powder "Rich Gold". The circle was glued on the background using foam pads to make it stand out a bit. To accentuate the background a bit more, I created a frame on white card stock by using the same embossing powder by WOW! and heat set it.

Auf Transparentpapier habe ich dann mit WOW! Embossingpulver in verschiedenen Farben eine Hasenbordüre gestempelt (der Stempel ist von einem Osterset von HobbyCraft aus England. Leider konnte ich sie im Internet nirgendwo finden). Über der Bordüre habe ich den Spruch "Happy Easter" von dem Set "Eggstraordinary Egghunt" von Create a Smile verwendet.

On vellum, I stamped a bunny border (the stamp is from an Easter set from Hobby Craft UK. Unfortunately, I cant find it online.) using VersaMark and sprinkled it with differend colors of WOW! embossing powder. The sentiment "Happy Easter" ist from the stamp set "Eggstraordinary Egghunt" from Create a Smile.



Auch die Tiere sind von dem Osterstempelset von Create A Smile. Ich habe sie mit Memento Tuxedo Black Ink auf Neenah Solar White Card Stock gestempelt und mit Spectrum Noir Markern ausgemalt. Leider kann man die Farben nicht einzeln sondern nur in Sets kaufen.

Heute habe ich eine Geburtstagskarte mit dem Stempelset von Some Odd Girl "Love Bandit" gemacht und sogar ein Video dazu gedreht (Englisch).
Ich habe den Waschbären mit Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers koloriert. Für sein Fell habe ich IG2, IG4 und IG6 verwendet. Für die hellen Stellen des Fells habe ich mit IG 1 und IG 2 gearbeitet. Für das Herz habe ich CR10 und CR 11 genutzt und für die Ohren FS2 und FS3. Alle weiteren Materialien sind weiter unten aufgelistet.

Today I made an easy birthday card using the stamp set Love Bandit by Some Odd Girl. I also made a short video in English. 
I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the little racoon and used IG2, IG4, and IG6 for the darker parts of his fur, and for the ligther parts IG1 and IG2. I colored the heart with CR10 and CR11 and his ears with FS2 and FS3. I listed the supplies I used below the video and in the video description.
